Self Portraits

“It’s fun to have three self portraits from various phases of life, spanning 21 years. The early phase, when I had hair and the girls were attracted to my smile. Then, (pointing to the thick oil painting)when I started a business and had children, this is how I felt most of the time, heavy impasto for the heavy responsibility. And this, (pointing to Self Portrait with Hat) is the most recent, a bit older… a bit more worn down.  They were painted about seven years apart.”
